This double oaked Peerless rye whiskey single barrel pick by NC Bourbon Society is delicious and unique, and is my first double oaked rye! Have you tried a double oaked rye yet?
Did WB Saffell raise ducks? Well, actually I don’t know but probably not. But I like to drink WB Saffell bourbon and watch these little ducklings that my wife hatched (well, I mean she didn’t literally hatch them, but you know what I mean right?)
It’s nice to go back to an easy uncomplicated sipper like Buffalo Trace sometimes!
There’s love in this bottle, that’s for sure. EH Taylor was one of my first loves of bourbon. This is only my second bottle of the single barrel (and the only one I have left 😭), picked up in Durham a long time ago believe it or not! The first one wasn’t as good as the small batch in my opinion, but even the neck pour on this one was cherry explosive goodness! I’ll be sharing a pour if this one with @ga_bourbon_hunter!
Rarely do I get a cork break, but this one was in bad shape! It’s ok, I found a decanter to use! This is my last bottle of the ‘18 Yellowstone 101 Limited Edition. A damn nice one if you ask me. Predominant notes for me are cigar smoke on the nose and ‘nilla wafers, cherry, and nice big spice on the palate and finish. Cheers brothers and sisters!
There’s a storm coming out here, the colors were beautiful before it got too dark! #ncrumcrew #rum #havanaclubrum #seleciondemaestros
