Cocktail: Four Flowers

Four Flowers Cocktail

On a visit to Antonia’s Restaurant in Hillsborough, NC, my wife enjoyed this cocktail. So of course I set out to find some Creme De Violette and try to reproduce it at home! I don’t know how they make it, but here’s my version that tastes pretty good to me!

  • 1.5 oz Bourbon (eg Four Roses)
  • 3/4 oz Creme de 3/4 oz St Germain
  • 1/2 oz Lavender syrup (easy recipe below)
  • 1/2 oz Fresh lime juice
  • 1 dash Angostura Bitters

In a shaker, combine all ingredients and some ice. Shake 15 seconds. Strain into cold glass or over ice.

Lavender Simple Syrup

  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 t lavender extract

Heat water and sugar until dissolved, remove from heat and add lavender. Let this cool and transfer to bottle. Keep refrigerated.
